City Tower, a landmark of Cheongna International City, is a super high-rise tower built on the 33,058m² sites in the center of Cheongna International City Lake Park with a height of 448m and two basement floors to 30 stories above ground. As a plan came out to build complex facilities centered around the city tower, the project caught the attention of the domestic industry and the metropolitan area. When completed, the Cheongna City Tower would be the second-highest tower in Korea after the Lotte World Tower in Jamsil. The building is considered as a nationwide mega-sized project beyond Incheon and the metropolitan area, and both the industry and the public are paying huge attention.
It is Dongil Architects & Engineers that created the magnificent urban beauty by building this skyscraper. Through this project, the company was re-recognized for its design capabilities as winning major awards like the grand prize at the Smart Architecture & City Competition 2017 hosted by the Architectural Institute of Korea. The status of the company soared as Bong Seok Oh, chairman of the company, was awarded the Gold Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit on the construction engineers’ day. Dongil, which has developed continuously since its foundation in 1982, is analyzed that the company is taking step by step on a grand roadmap to a permanent firm.

Dongil has achieved remarkable results in architectural design, construction management (CM), supervision, and development projects. Based on the organizational competency of the best expert groups in such diverse fields as VE, due diligence on completed parts or buildings, and technology consulting, the company has successfully performed more than 1,000 projects so far. In the sphere of mixed-use, Dongil demonstrated its capability by completing B3BL in Songdo, The Sharp Central Park in Songdo, and The Sharp Centum Star in Busan. It also carried out successfully the design and remodeling of such hotels as Sheraton Palace Gangnam in Seoul and Ritz-Carlton in Seoul. Significant results have been achieved continuously not only in Korea but also abroad. Undertaking the design business in the new city development of North An Khanh in Vietnam and The Sharp Star River Cambodia Zaman Mixed-Use spread the position and fame of the company to the global market.

Dongil successfully performed the following construction project management and supervision services: residential facilities of large scale – Busan Yongho-Dong Apartment(7827 units), Daegu Hwanggeum-Dong LH Apartment Reconstruction(4256 units); super high-rise facilities – Centum Star mixed-use in Busan(60F), Central Star mixed-use in Busan(58F); Jinju Sports Complex, Tongyeong Concert Hall, Environment Industry Research Complex, Korea Food Research Institute New Building, Naraqium Yeouido Building, Sinbupyeong Electrical Substation, Burberry Korea Building, Agricultural Products Processing Center in Tanzania, and The Korean Art And Culture House In Uzbekistan.
